You will be notified of which bus to be on according to your tee time. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

About Golf

Spend the morning on the green of the legendary University of Michigan golf course designed by Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National. Whether you are Happy Gilmore or Tiger Woods, there is nothing that beats a low-key round (complete with libations as you play).

Carts are included. Limited sets of clubs will be available to rent at the course for $25. Buses will return to Alice Lloyd Hall around 3:00 PM.

Buses leave for Zingerman’s Bakehouse from Alice Lloyd Hall

Buses will take you to Zingerman’s at 3711 Plaza Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. Buses will return to Alice Lloyd Hall around 11:30 AM.

About Zingerman’s Bakehouse

Take part in Ann Arbor’s most famous baking experience! Zingerman’s is known throughout Michigan as having the most delicious bakery breads and treats and now you get the chance to bake alongside your fellow residents! All participants will learn how to mix, roll, and bake cookies and cakes, and will get to take home their creations! Space is limited so sign up quickly! Breakfast will be provided.

Buses leave from Alice Lloyd Hall for Kayak Trip at Gallup Park

The first round of buses will leave at 8:15, the second round at 9:15. Buses will return to Alice Lloyd Hall by 12:30 PM.

About the Kayak Trip

Grab a friend and enjoy a trip down Ann Arbor’s famous Huron River. With thrilling rapids (easy enough for beginners), breathtaking views, and plenty of water, you can either enjoy a leisurely float down the Huron‘s gentle currents or challenge yourself and race a friend down the four-mile course. Afterward, lunch will be provided at Alice Lloyd Hall.

Warning: you (and any electronics you bring with you) WILL get wet, so plan accordingly!

Pedal Pub activity through Ann Arbor

Group 1 will meet at 201 N Main St (Next to the Ann Ashley Parking Structure), a 20-minute walk from Alice Lloyd Hall, at 10:30AM and will finish with lunch at Pizza House (618 Church Street), a 12-minute walk from Alice Lloyd Hall, around noon.

Group 2, Meet at the Pizza House (618 Church Street), a 12-minute walk from Alice Lloyd Hall, at 12:00 for lunch, Pedal Pub starts at 1:30 PM, finishes around 3:00 PM at 201 N. Main Street, a 20 minute walk from Alice Lloyd Hall.

Please arrive on time so you don’t miss the start!

About Pedal Pub

Take a ride around the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus and downtown with food, fun, and of course, some good libations. Drinks can be purchased before and during the ride. Lunch will be served at Ann Arbor’s own Pizza House, so come hungry! We will try to accommodate parties; however, space is limited and we want you to meet new people!

Saturday night’s banquet culminates the GORP experience and will be held in the historic Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.

A vibrant exploration of genius in all its forms, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation allows you to experience the strides of America’s greatest minds while fully immersing yourself in their stories. Step inside the bus where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Play pilot as you explore flight innovations, starting with the Wright brothers’ achievements, or make yourself at home inside Buckminster Fuller’s circular Dymaxion House. Put yourself in the place of the movers and shakers who blazed the trail to where we stand today. 

(Appropriate attire: jacket and tie for the gentlemen, dresses for the ladies.)
